Coastal Engineering
LHI has long experience in Coastal Modelling both for Coastal projects and in Harbor Projects. LHI uses a range of software suitable for the application and uses GIS comprehensively.
Planning and designing a coastal project is required the understanding and assessment of the naturally occurring process to which the project will be exposed. The information concerning the process can be obtained from the coastal environmental data. LHI has completed more than 200 projects in the coastal engineering field over the last two decades and measures, analyzes and archives coastal environment data for the region. The coastal data provides information on wave, current, water level, wind, sediment sampling, topographic and hydrographic maps and charts, aerial photos, etc. for use by coastal engineers and planners.
The Modelling capabilities of LHI include:
Hydrodynamic studies
Wave Propagation
Basin Resonance
Sediment transport
Coastal evolution
Water Quality Modelling
Dispersal of dredged sediment
